Regrettably, the voxyn was able to catch up with the Jedi, just before they entered the escape pod. Alema made it into the pod, but Numa did not. Sprayed with acid on her face and chest by the voxyn, Numa had been given the fate of dying a horrible death. Managing to stagger into the escape pod and collapsing at the entrance, Alema pulled her sister into the pod, and hit the launch button. Numa was beyond help with the acid eating away at her face and chest, and as the escape pod rocketed away from the Vong infested ship, Numa Rar became one with the Force.
